How to forward phone calls
The ability to forward a phone call can come in handy if you’re in a meeting or on vacation and want an associate to handle your calls.
It could also come in handy if you’re traveling to an area with no cellular coverage, and want your calls forwarded to your hotel. Here’s how you do it on the iPhoneFrom the Home screen, go to Settings >Phone >Call Forwarding. Then, turn on Call Forwarding and tap on Forwarding To. Finally, enter the number you want your calls forwarded to. WARNING: To set up call forwarding, your iPhone must be in range of your cellular network. So if you’re going to an area without cellular coverage, set it up beforehand.
Enter a pause in a phone number
Some business phone systems require that you pause between numbers. For example, there may need to be a pause between the main number and the extension to give the phone system
time to “pick up.” To insert a pause while entering or editing a phone number in Contacts, place the cursor where you want to insert the pause, tap on the lower left button (+ * #), and hit the pause button that appears next to it. Repeat the process to insert another pause. The pauses
appear as commas in the displayed number.

making it quick and easy to enter the tail end of a Web address. Hold the “.com” button down, and a pop-up appears, making it easy to enter .net, .edu, .org, etc. There’s a similar feature on the keyboard associated with Mail, but it’s not as obvious.
If you’re composing an e-mail to a friend or associate—something like: “John: Check out iPhoneLife. com”—when you get to the end of “iPhoneLife” press and hold down on the period key. A pop-up will appear, allowing you to select .com or other common Web address suffixes.

destination and displays a map of the route that you can zoom in on for greater detail. You can also have the map display driving conditions in certain areas. To turn on this feature, set up your trip and go to the map view. Tap on the page-turn icon in the lower right corner and tap on the button labeled “Show Traffic.” (If traffic condition info is not available, the button is grayed out and labeled “Traffic Unavailable In This Area.”) The map is now displayed with the roads highlighted in green, yellow, or red to indicate the driving conditions.
• Green:Should be able to travel at more than 50 miles per hour
• Yellow:25–50 miles per hour
• Red:Less than 25 miles per hour

어떤 업무용 전화기중에는 숫자사이에 공백을 요구하는 경우가 있는데, 예를들면, 대표전화번호와 각자의 자리번호 사이에 넣어야만 전화가 되는 경우가 그런것이다. 전화번호를 입력하거나 수정하는 동안 공백을 넣기위해서는, 바로 그위치에 커서를 올려놓고, tap….하고나서 pause button을 누르면, 그옆에 공백이 나타나게 된다. 또 다른 공백을 넣으려면 위의 과정을 반복하면 되고, 나타난 숫자에서 코마로 표현된다. Safari의 키보드는 밑부분에 .com button을 가지고 있는데 웹주소를 빠르게 입력할수있다. 팝업창이 하나 나오면 .net, .edu, .org,등등 선택적으로 입력을 하게끔 되어있는데, 메일과 관련된 키보드상에서 본 유사한 기능이 있지만, iPhone만큼 정도는 아니다. 예를들어, 다음과 같이 친구에게 메일을 작성중이라고 하자.
“John: Check out iPhoneLife.com”, “iPhoneLife”을 입력한 다음에 . 를 누르면 하나의 팝업창이 뜨는데, 이것을 통해서 웹주소의 .com이나 이외의 주소를 손쉽게 입력할 수가 있다.
지도들은 차례차례 목적지까지의 방향을 표시하는데, 좀 더 상세한 것들을 위해서는 지도상의 경로를확대할수 있고, 특정지역의 교통상황(정체,지체)을 표시한다. 이러한 기능을 위해서는, trip을 셋업하고 map보기를 이동한다.하단오른쪽 구석에 화면이동 아이콘을 누르고 , show traffic 버튼을 누른다. 만약 교통정보를 사용할 수가 없으면, 버튼은 회색으로 보이고, 교통정보 불가지역으로 표시된다. 교통정보가 녹색,노랑,빨간색등의 표시가 되면서 교통상황을 안내해 준다.
